Directorate General For Lifelong Learning is structured by the Decree Law No. 652 dated 14.09.2011 and maintain its activities within the Ministry of National Education. Its main objective is; To educate all segments of society, especially adults between the ages of 18-64, with the understanding of "lifelong learning" without the time and space limitation. Within this scope, our General Directorate carries out activities to increase the basic competencies and professional competencies of the individuals. As the authority in the field of adult education in Turkiye, Our General Directorate continues its services with 1001 adult education centers. Our General Directorate currently has 501 staff. The General Directorate carries out a total of 3731 education and training activities through public education centers and advanced technical institutes for women in order to develop basic skills, to increase and certify vocational qualifications. In addition, approximately 1,500,000 learners are reached each year through open education institutions. This number is obtained on an average of 6.500.000 individuals per year on the basis of trainees.
